Before you implement the 2-2-1 full-court defense with your team there are a few questions you should ask yourself to know exactly what you want your team to do. This will also help you give direction to your assistant or lower level coaches if they will be implementing the defense as well.

Are you hoping to slow the game or speed it up?
Will you fall back to a man and zone?
What should your players do if there is a blow by and the ball is not contained?
